Assistant Professor - Nocturnist/Hospitalist in Kansas City, KS
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Provide medical care on inpatient services. Patient care is provided to include day, swing and night shifts, shared equally among members of the group. 24/7 in-hospital coverage. Limited interaction with house staff in a supervisory and triage role. Nocturnist program in place. Full sub-specialty support; closed ICU. MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE.
DUTY 1) Provide medical care to hospitalized patients within Kansas University Medical Center.
DUTY 2) Participate in Department and Division educational activities as allowed by established schedule; and as directed by immediate supervisor.
DUTY 3) Advise/mentor medical students and/or residents as needed within Kansas University Hospital.
DUTY 4) Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Department Chair or Division Chief.
Probation Status: Subject to the regulations of the State of Kansas, the Board of Regents and the University of Kansas Medical Center. I understand and agree that, if I am employed in a Regents Unclassified position, during the first six months of my employment, I serve at the pleasure of the Executive Vice Chancellor of KUMC and my employment may be ended at any time during that period.
